Casagrande C6 is a highly versatile rig comprising of an 11700kg stabilising weight mounted on steel crawler tracks with 310mm track plates. It has four large adjustable legs attached to each corner of the rig to give added stability when in operation. The Casagrande C6 features an adjustable mast that offers extremely versatile angle achievement which is typical of the Casagrande range of crawler based piling/drilling rigs. The Casagrande C6 is powered by a Deutz 6 cylinder engine.  Fitted with a three-speed-rotation-motor model T1000 6V (with a maximum torque 13.5Kn 530rpm) which operates in conjunction with the hydraulic side shifted gearbox, mounted on a 6000mm mast length that can be extended if required. The rotary head has a stroke of 4000mm with an extraction force of 6350KG  Fitted with break out clamps from 40 mm to 200mm jaws, with a clamping force of 145kn and  a break out torque of 45 kNm, to handle casings up to 200mm. This unit makes light work of mounting and dismounting auger equipment. It also makes the installation of steel reinforcement cages into the pile easier with its 2000kg line winch. The Casagrande C6 has its own specially developed air swivel feature, which when bolted in to place enables the rig operator to use a 'Down the Hole' (DTH) Hammer upto a maximum working diameter of 250mm. With  its ability to drill over its tracks, this machine is ideal for work such as soil nailing and contiguous wall piles in limited access sites where operating space is restricted and a flexible machine is required. Fitted with an in line lubricator.

This unit is designed to drill boreholes using all the commonly known drilling tools and methods; roller or drag bits, continuous flight augers, coring barrels, down the hole hammers. Repainted, Year 1990.
