Fitted with a Montabert HC80R reverse percussion hydraulic Drifter, covering 2.5 to 4.inch (64mm to 104mm) hole T38,T45 or T51, with Strata-Sense drilling automatics, which optimize the drilling speed, hole straightness and load-sense, progressive-percussion pressure control while the progressive-feed control reduces jamming and senses voids, as well as increasing the life of your drilling accessories. Powered by a Cummins Turbo Charged 6CT8.3 190hp (142kw). Automatic throttle control lowers engine rpm during non drilling operations. Pumps and air compressor are coupled directly to the engine. All drilling functions are hydraulic instead of electric. The unit has an onboard compressor which is 230cfm @130 psi (6.5m3/min@9 bar/cm2), which is a perfect match for the high production of the HC80R drifter. This powerful combination reduces regrinding of cuttings, increases drilling speed and ensures optimum bailing velocity for holes up to 4 inches (104mm) in diameter. This unit has standard style drilling controls with an adjustable drilling console. Full flow hydraulics for boom and guide positioning provide smooth responsive movements for quicker setup between holes. Auto rod changer with auto greaser for 6 x 12 ft (3.6m) rods plus starter rod of 14ft (4.26m). With a drill depth of up to 84 ft (25.6m). Fitted with Dust collector and pre skimmer with vaposol system which has a 40 gal water tank, which keeps the air around the drill cleaner. With extendable boom 30inches (762mm), boom swing 40 deg.R/12 deg. L, guide swing 90 deg. R/30 deg. L. The air conditioned cab is mounted on the main frame and is independent of the track movement for better hole visibility on uneven terrain. With full surface front glass and large roof window provide excellent visibility of the hole during drilling and to the auto rod changer during rod addition and retrieval.
